Welcome

Thanks for visiting. Here are our current needs:

  1. Legal advice as to what kind of non-profit organization this is,
  2. Someone with experience in WordPress, PHP, and MYSQL to help streamline data entry and data processing, and
  3. Someone who is wise in the ways of Facebook to help us network and gather more support.

Email us at admin -at- cgip -dot- us if you can help or know someone who might be ready, willing and able to help us with these things.

Please review the principles behind the algorithms used for each Life Category, and if you agree with any of them, please consider assisting us in our endeavors.

We are currently in “construction mode” here, so if you come back again you may notice things are changing [Please see the Editor's Notes to track the status of additions and changes to the site]. The sample population for our initial feasibility study on the the United States Senate of the 110th Congress is more or less complete. We are also standing up as much background information as possible about our initial approach to the data that we are collecting. The data processing algorithms are stated as clearly as possible on the “Rating Method” Pages, linked to through the bold colored links below; those will always be updated when new ideas, suggestions and data present themselves. For now, here are the basics:

CGIP’s Objective:

Inform the public about those who represent them in government by presenting each politician’s experience, biases and predilections in a simple visual format using fact-based metrics derived from that politician’s life experiences and voting record.

CGIP’s Vision:

Using seven categories that encompass the totality of human experience (Namely: Self, Neighbors, Family, Market, Religion, Science & Government), represent and compare politicians using a simple, seven-colored bar chart depicting life experience and the extent to which a politician’s voting record is consistent with that life experience.

CGIP’s Mission:

Encourage politicians and political candidates that have great amounts of experience in each of these seven areas of life, especially those that will preserve, protect and defend the duties, freedoms and inherent dignity of each and every one of these areas of life in their public service.

If you would like to assist us with research and/or data entry, please let me know by sending an email to admin -at- cgip -dot- us.
